Get to Know: My Brother’s Keeper
LCAN Coverage Area: City of Miami
Partners in Service is a city-led council of independent service organizations and community organizations working to ensure every student in the City of Miami, Florida has the support necessary to successfully graduate high school and has access to college and/or a postsecondary certificate.
The City of Miami Service Office — supported by Bloomberg’s Cities of Service and in partnership with the Florida College Access Network and My Brother’s Keeper — supports and coordinates the efforts of community organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Take Stock In Children, and dozens of others to improve the City of Miami’s High School graduation rate by encouraging civic volunteerism to support our youth. We also strive to deepen our collective capacity to build and sustain a dynamic economy that works for everyone, working together on education to move the needle for a better-educated workforce and economic access for all.
