Charleita Richardson

The search for the dynamic and passionate leader who will oversee the next phase of FCAN’s work is complete! After a thoughtful search process with our USF and community partners, FCAN is excited to announce Charleita Richardson as the next Executive Director of the Florida College Access Network. Charleita will join the FCAN team on August 31st.

Charleita comes to FCAN from Richmond, Virginia, where for the past 12 years she has served as the President and CEO of Partnership for the Future, an organization dedicated to providing high-achieving students with the fuel they need to pursue their aspirations. As a champion for students in her community, she was recently recognized as a Richmond Times-Dispatch Person of the Year Honoree and Richmond History Maker, among other honors.  She and Partnership for the Future are also active members of the National College Attainment Network, and Charleita has presented multiple times at the NCAN conference and participated in NCAN’s advocacy initiatives, among other involvement.

Charleita holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Strayer University, as well as a certificate in nonprofit management from Virginia Commonwealth University.

“I am thrilled to join the team at FCAN and work to meet the goals and objectives set forth in the strategic plan,” Charleita said. “To date, FCAN has accomplished a lot under the amazing leadership of Laurie [Meggesin] and with the hard work of a mighty team. I look forward to the next stage of this organization and know that with the existing solid foundation, we will continue to do great things.”

Please join the FCAN team in welcoming Charleita to the Florida college access movement!
