A new FAFSA completion campaign is actually encouraging students to spend more time on their phones.

Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, launched its “But First, FAFSA” awareness campaign on October 1, the same day students could begin filling out the 2019-20 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The campaign, which runs through March 31, encourages students and parents to fill out the FAFSA form as soon as possible using the new myStudentAid app, which allows users to fill out the FAFSA using a mobile device.

In addition to the launch of the myStudentAid app, the fafsa.gov website has also undergone a re-design to make the site more mobile-friendly. Now, the site’s pages fit the screen size and shape of any device, including desktop or laptop computers and mobile devices.

Download the myStudentAid app on iOS and Android and fill out the FAFSA using your mobile device. For more information, visit fafsa.gov.
