Florida College Access Network is pleased to issue a call for presentation proposals for the 2025 Talent Strong Florida Summit, to be held May 5-7, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort (1 Grand Cypress Blvd, Orlando, FL  32836). Proposals are due by November 15th, 2024 at 5 pm ET.

The 2025 Talent Strong Florida Summit is the premier event where education stakeholders from multiple sectors come together to network, learn, and inspire one another to prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s career opportunities. Previous Talent Strong Florida Summits have catalyzed significant collaborations and initiatives across the state. Attendees reported implementing new strategies, forming cross-sector partnerships, and driving policy changes as a direct result of insights gained at the summit.

During the three-day event, we will explore innovations, best practices, and initiatives to help all Floridians achieve an education beyond high school and a rewarding career. The agenda will include exceptional keynote speakers, breakout sessions on topics relevant to postsecondary access and student success, networking opportunities, and exhibitors demonstrating the latest tools and resources.

The Summit highlights evidence-based approaches, lessons learned from the field, and policy developments that accelerate progress and spark meaningful change with a focus on collaboration.

This year’s summit continues our ‘Access for All‘ theme, reaffirming our commitment to reducing gaps in access and success metrics for traditionally underrepresented populations, including racial/ethnic minority students, first-generation students, adult learners, rural students, and students with disabilities.

The Talent Strong Florida Summit convenes a diverse audience of education professionals, policymakers, business leaders, and community advocates. Attendees typically include K-12 educators, higher education administrators, workforce development professionals, nonprofit leaders, government officials, and corporate partners committed to advancing Florida’s talent pipeline. Presenters engage a multifaceted audience, offer insights and strategies applicable across various sectors of education and workforce development.

Talent Strong Florida breakout sessions include:

  • Sessions that align with at least one of FCAN’s Seven Conditions for Success. This year, we are giving special consideration to proposals that focus on the following conditions:  opportunity for everyone, community collaboration, and affordability.
  • Sessions that include quantifiable societal benefits, including economic and fiscal, as outcomes of access and success programs.
  • Sessions that include the student voice and experience (e.g. co-presentations with students, presentations that include written or video testimonials from students, etc.).
  • Sessions with a high degree of audience interaction. Year after year, the sessions that receive the best evaluations are those that provide opportunities for engagement between presenters and the audience.

Proposals are due by November 15, 2024 at 5 pm ET. For questions about proposal submissions, contact Dave Sobush, Director of Research and Policy, at dsobush@floridacollegeaccess.org
