In just one year, Tiffany Ramsey has redefined what workforce education can look like at Dave Thomas Education Center in Broward County. With passion, innovation, and strategic thinking, she has gone above and beyond to help Floridians access the training and education necessary for meaningful careers. Because of this, Ramsey was recognized at the Talent Strong Florida Summit as FCAN’s 2025 Workforce Education Innovator.
Since stepping into her role, Ramsey has transformed the school’s approach to career readiness and workforce development. Her leadership has not only opened doors for students but has also bridged vital connections between education and industry.
One of Ramsey’s achievements has been the organization of three dynamic college and career fairs, giving students direct access to colleges, trade schools, and potential employers. These events have proven to be more than just informational but also catalysts for real-world engagement and career planning.
Ramsey’s deep commitment to community engagement has resulted in an impressive growth in business partnerships, expanding from just 3 to 77 partnerships in under a year. This has unlocked mentorship, internship, and job placement opportunities for students, increasing their exposure to real-life career pathways. The area is also served by the local community coalition, Bridge 2 Life.
Her outreach efforts have secured donations to support workforce development programs—funds that have directly helped remove barriers for students struggling with access to transportation, professional attire, and other critical needs.
Students have been connected with more than 50 employment opportunities, resulting in over 100 job interviews, many of them first-time experiences for youth.
Through her work, Ramsey is not only empowering today’s students but also laying the groundwork for community growth and economic resilience.
Congratulations to FCAN’s 2025 Workforce Education Innovator!
