Many students struggle to navigate through the college admissions process. As the nation’s oldest African American sorority building Black women leaders, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) has committed to providing a hands-on approach to support students through the college-going process through its College Admissions Process initiative, #CAP. This session will share how school districts and community groups can partner with their local AKA graduate chapter to build a foundation for success for talented young people.
In this session, you will:
- Learn about #CAP and how it will assist students with the college admissions process.
- Learn how to form partnerships with Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLOs) for alumni and near peer mentoring.
- Be able to identify local AKA chapters and create a collaboration plan.
