Will your students need help completing the FAFSA in 2016? Host a CGS!Florida site at your school, college or community organization!
CGS!Florida (College Goal Sunday), is a statewide initiative coordinated by the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) to provide free, professional help with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
February is the designated month for hosting College Goal Sunday events. Schools (secondary and postsecondary) along with community-based organizations are encouraged to apply as a host site for a CGS!Florida event.
Host sites provide a time and a place at high schools, postsecondary institutions and other community centers where students can complete the FAFSA on-site and receive other helpful information about the college financial aid process. Host sites make this a fun event to encourage families in their communities to come out and participate.
Host sites have until October 21, 2015 to register and will be notified of selection by October 31, 2015. For more information, contact CGS! Florida Coordinators Lori Auxier (Lori.Auxier@fldoe.org) or Jan Smith (Jan.Smith@fldoe.org).
