Florida’s dual enrollment system is a beacon of opportunity amid declining national community college enrollments. While the state has made significant strides in enhancing educational access and equity in these courses of rigor, opportunities exist to further advance dual enrollment and promote college access and student success. In FCAN’s January “Hot Topics” webinar, Dave Sobush, FCAN’s Director of Policy and Research, will preview forthcoming research on dual enrollment in Florida and:

  • Make the case for expanded dual enrollment access
  • Review current designs and incentive models for dual enrollment
  • Discuss barriers to dual enrollment expansion
  • Highlight best practices
  • Identify policy recommendations to expand dual enrollment

By focusing on inclusivity and accessibility, Florida can leverage dual enrollment to revitalize declining postsecondary enrollments, foster a more equitable educational landscape, and – ultimately – increase educational attainment beyond high school.Presenter: Dave Sobush, Director of Research and Policy, Florida College Access Network
