Each year, St. Petersburg College brings together hundreds of educators from across the country to share best practices and learn new ways to improve the use of “real time” data for the purpose of increasing student success.

The 5th annual Moving the Needle conference will take place Nov. 8-9 at St. Petersburg College’s Seminole campus. The event will be preceded by pre-conference intensive sessions on Nov. 7.

One of those sessions —“Community Partnerships: Reimagining Higher Ed’s Role in an Age of Change” — will be led by Kathy McDonald, FCAN’s Assistant Director for Network Partnerships. FCAN is a bronze-level sponsor for the 2018 Moving the Needle Conference.

Among the conference’s keynote speakers is Amarillo College President Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, who recently served as a guest presenter for the FCAN webinar, “No Excuses Poverty Initiative: Building Systemic Support for Low-Income Students.”

The early bird registration deadline is August 23.
