Tampa, FL- Florida high school seniors and families are invited to attend College Goal Sunday on February 20th to receive free help with completing complicated financial aid forms. Higher education leaders and organizations throughout Florida have partnered to help future graduates find money for college by hosting College Goal Sunday Florida on February 20, 2011 from 2pm-5pm at locations throughout the state. The one-day event is designed to help students and families pay for college by providing free expert assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. A completed FAFSA application is required by the U.S. Department of Education and higher education institutions to determine student eligibility for federal student aid such as the Pell grant, work-study aid, and loans. The FAFSA can also determine student eligibility for state and private aid. Students and families who need assistance completing the FAFSA form are invited to attend any College Goal Sunday Florida site on February 20, 2011 from 2pm-5pm for free assistance. All students who attend and complete the FAFSA form online at a College Goal Sunday Florida location will become eligible to receive a scholarship incentive of $250.
