Calling all counselors and community leaders!

Sallie Mae — a student loan company with over 40 years of providing student loans for college, supporting graduate and undergraduate study — is seeking nominees for its Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program.

Each Bridging the Dream recipient will be awarded a $25,000 scholarship. The program, which is in its third year, has already helped nine students go to college. (Visit the Bridging the Dream website to see their stories.)

The nomination period begins August 23 and concludes September 27, and only the first 1,000 nominations will be considered. The Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program is seeking inspiring high school juniors and seniors who work hard, have an interesting story to tell, are gifted or skilled in some way, but might come up short financially of going to college.
