Braulio Colón, left, and Charleita M. Richardson prepare to toast 10 years of FCAN.

It was great connecting with everyone at the 2022 Talent Strong Florida Summit!

This year’s summit featured a celebration of Florida College Access Network’s 10th anniversary and a decade of impactful service in the postsecondary space.

FCAN is built on the foundation of ENLACE Florida, a statewide network of higher education institutions devoted to improving college access and success for minorities and other students underrepresented in higher education.

Dr. Paul Dosal was ENLACE Florida’s first director, and the organization officially became the Florida College Access Network in 2012 under the leadership of Braulio Colón. FCAN’s research and policy briefs eventually led to the local college access network concept and its second director, Laurie Meggesin, in 2013. Today, FCAN continues to champion student success under the leadership of Charleita M. Richardson by developing strong networks throughout the state and providing data that is in allowing all Floridians to access education beyond high school.

Please take a moment to watch a special video tribute to FCAN’s first 10 years!
