Luz Corcuera

Education is something that no one can take away from you.

The importance of establishing a college-going culture among all Latinos is at the center of the fifth entry in FCAN’s Summit Speaker Series, which gives a select group of presenters the opportunity to share information about their sessions prior to the 2018 Florida College Access Network Summit.

The latest podcast features Luz Corcuera, Executive Director of UnidosNow and a leader at Reach Manatee. Corcuera will present a session titled, “A MultiGen Approach to College Prep for First Generation College Latinos,” alongside Hector Tejada, UnidosNow’s Director of Education.

During her chat with FCAN, Corcuera shared some of her personal college prep experiences, evoked the words of Cesar Chavez to reinforce the long-lasting impact of education, and much more. Click below to join the conversation.
