A new education data dashboard and summary publication is now available in Leon County, marking a major milestone in ASPIRE Capital Region’s effort to enhance data-informed decision-making across education and workforce initiatives.
Developed through a collaborative effort, these tools aim to help local stakeholders integrate robust education data into their ongoing projects to maximize impact. The release supports a growing call for a cohesive, community-wide strategy that bridges K-12, postsecondary, and workforce alignment.
The launch is the focus of a recent community event that showcased the importance of leveraging data to target key areas—such as low postsecondary continuation rates and resource gaps between schools to improve student success.
“One of the most pressing realities we face is the stark difference in continuation rates in education beyond high school and academic readiness between schools like Godby and Chiles,” said Sue Dick, President and CEO at the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. “These data shows us where support is most needed—and why we must act with urgency.” The dashboard will be a powerful, reliable tool for spotting trends and meeting the growing demand for shared data—enabling organizations to collaborate on new programs.
ASPIRE’s new dashboard highlights priority areas for action, including:
- Reducing chronic absenteeism
- Reducing barriers to accessing college and career acceleration opportunities
- Increasing FAFSA completion
- Increasing high school graduation and GED attainment rates
- Increasing the postsecondary continuation rate within one year of graduation

The initiative aligns closely with Talent Strong Florida, a statewide campaign led by the Florida College Access Network (FCAN) that promotes the value of higher education and encourages communities to reap the full benefits—individual, community, and fiscal—of increased high-value credential attainment. The campaign leverages research from Helios Education Foundation’s Florida Future Billions report as well as the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Workforce 2.0, and the Florida Council 100’s Beyond Sunshine Report.
“Increasing high-value credential attainment isn’t just a student success issue—it’s an economic imperative,” said Braulio Colón, FCAN’s executive director. “The Talent Strong Florida campaign underscores the importance of workforce and education collaboration, and we’re encouraged to see the capital region leaning into this work with data-informed strategies.”
This project represents a milestone achievement in ASPIRE Capital Region’s engagement with the data community of practice. ASPIRE’s new dashboard and publication will serve as a valuable resource for educators, business leaders, and policymakers.
