FutureMakers Coalition, a local college access network serving Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties, has been selected to participate in multi-year long program that aims to strengthen rural higher education and employment systems.
The grant by Ascendium Education Group and ECMC Foundation will offer training, technical assistance, and financial support. A group of organizations from across the country will join the program to focus on the growth of their communities.
“Rural communities like Glades and Hendry counties have unique assets and opportunities that warrant an intentional approach to collaboration,” said Tessa LeSage, chief impact officer, Collaboratory. “Together, we are committed to becoming experts in efforts to improve outcomes across all of Southwest Florida.”
FutureMakers Coalition continues to give back to its local community, recently awarding Glades Education Foundation a grant to support students complete the FAFSA, increase SAT/ACT passing rate, increase college tour opportunities, and more. These collaborative efforts allow community partners to advance professional success and resources for all.
