On April 27-28, the Talent Strong Florida Summit will once again welcome community leaders and education advocates who are committed to supporting Florida students on their path to achieving education beyond high school!

Attendees will gather for two days of inspiration, learning and collaboration highlighting some of the policies and practices that will help all Florida students thrive in tomorrow’s economy.

FCAN is thrilled to welcome two keynote speakers who align with this year’s summit theme of “Engage and Empower.”

John F. Davis, Secretary of Florida Lottery, will be the keynote speaker during the 2023 Talent Strong Florida Summit Welcome Luncheon on April 27. An accomplished leader with more than 25 years of service in the public and private sectors, Secretary Davis served as the Executive Vice President of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce and as President of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida prior to leading the Florida Lottery.

Under Secretary Davis’ leadership, the Florida Lottery has championed the development of partnerships that expand awareness and opportunities around the Bright Futures Scholarship Program. His desire is for all students, especially those living in challenging communities, to be informed and equipped with the tools necessary to qualify for the scholarship because he believes that students in every corner of our great state should know that a brighter future is attainable.

Raven Solomon, a global thought leader and nationally-recognized speaker, will inspire and enlighten us during the 2023 Talent Strong Florida Summit Awards Luncheon on April 28.

Raven’s mission is simple — to help organizations get future-ready by understanding generations, racial equity, and their intersection. She is the author of the 2019 release, “Leading Your Parents: 25 Rules to Effective Multigenerational Leadership for Millennials and Gen Z,” where she shares leadership principles and practical advice for young professionals seeking to transition into leadership positions in today’s diverse workplace.

She is also the founder of the Charlotte-based Center for Next Generation Leadership and Professional Development, a startup focused on providing soft-skill development to the leaders of tomorrow. In her spare time, Raven consults with Franklin Covey, the world leader in leadership development, and is the host of The Generational View Podcast. Raven has helped tens of thousands, from podiums around the world, close the gaps inside of dozens of industry-leading companies, and create sustainable cultural change.
