LCAN Coverage Area: Citrus County

The Citrus County Coalition for College & Careers (CCCCC) is a nonprofit organization that works with community partners to support and provide resources that advance students’ educational goals.  Volunteers meet with students to help with post-secondary plans, including entry to:

  • Colleges, Universities
  • Career & Technical Schools
  • Military
  • Careers

Five focus areas include Information, Collaboration, Mentoring, Scholarship, and Support.  Programs throughout the year help students and families with postsecondary plans:

 

  • Assist with COLLEGE EXPLORATION process, YMCA Summer Experience
  • Help complete ONLINE COLLEGE APPLICATIONS
  • Assist with SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
  • Help with FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), FAFSA Nights at The College of Central Florida
  • Assist students with RESUME and COLLEGE ESSAY
  • Provide GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS for financial assistance
  • Help with unexpected COLLEGE or TECHNICAL SCHOOL COSTS
  • Assist with HOUSING process and costs
  • Help with ACT TEST, SAT TEST and ASVAB tests, including cost of exam
  • Serve as MENTORS, ADVISORS, and TUTORS
